How it works
Editors design the prompts. Our editorial team crafts every story prompt, theme template, and illustration guideline — the AI never improvises its own instructions.
Safety checks run first. Before generation starts, the request is validated for age range and screened against a blocklist of inappropriate content.
Guardrails guide the AI. The AI receives embedded safety instructions that prohibit violence, sexual content, profanity, and any 16+ themes.
Advisors review regularly. Our advisory board — educators and child-development specialists — audits prompt templates and themes on an ongoing basis.
Human Editorial Oversight

Multi-Layer Filtering
Requests pass through a keyword blocklist, an age-range validator, and built-in safety guardrails inside the AI prompt itself. Content that doesn't meet our standards is stopped before a single word is generated.
No 16+ Content — Ever
StoryFox is built exclusively for children aged 3–12. We do not support, and technically block, any content intended for audiences 16 and older. Age ranges outside our supported bands are rejected at the server level.
Wholesome by Design
Our stories celebrate kindness, curiosity, resilience, and friendship. Violence, sexual content, substance references, profanity, and self-harm themes are explicitly prohibited in every generation prompt.
Built for kids. Not for anyone else.
StoryFox does not create content for teenagers or adults. Our platform only supports ages 3–12, and any request outside that range is blocked at the server. We don't have a "teen" or "16+" mode — and we never will.
